Our Story
Hello and welcome to Lazy D Hounds & Hunting Service LLC.
My name is Casey Davis. First off, I'd like to thank you for looking into our outfit. Thank you, it means a lot to me. Secondly, I'd like to let you know from years of experience, we have hunted just about all NM has to offer. We have hunted this state head to toe in pursuit of everything from apex predators to giant bull elk, to the speed goats of the plains and exotic Barbary sheep in our southern deserts.
Hound Hunting is my passion. Graduating from the school of hard knocks, me and my Hounds have had our fair share of bumps and bruises. Though it hasn't been an easy journey we're glad to say we've made it this far and look forward to showing you what all we can do. The experience and lessons you can learn from a pack of hounds is truly a experience you'll never forget.

MNT Lion Hunts
These animals are one of my favorite ones to pursue behind a fine, trained pack of hounds. These hunts are done on either horse/mule, utv or out of a 4 wheel drive depending on where and when we are hunting. It is a experience every outdoor enthusiasts should experience, and is a bucket list hunt for many. It can be the most challenging hunt you have ever experienced.
I focus 90% of my time on lions, and hounds. This is something I am extremely passionate about.

Bear hunting
This is another one of my personal favorite animals. I think every hunter and outdoor enthusiast should experience this hunt.
These hunts are also done behind a pack of well trained hounds. The weather is great as these hunts take place from August to November in western and northern New Mexico. These hunts are also done off of horse /mule, utv, and from a 4x4 vehicle. We will provide a tent camp and cook in the mountains, or put you up in a motel near by. We scout all summer and keep close eyes on these big bruins to hopefully give you a experience you'll never forget.

Big game hunts
Antelope, Deer, Elk, Barbary sheep, Big Horn, and many other species.
Just about all our hunts will be public land draw in New Mexico, and we can help you out with the draw.. We offer help with the draw system and can get you in the NM draw pool which increases your odds of 10%. We have successfully harvested elk that score 402BC and BIG desert mule deer that go into the 180 class, as well as 80 inch antelope and 30 inch Barbary sheep. If it's there we will find it!

Enjoy the Beautiful scenery of western NM on the back of safe and sound Mules and horses. Take in the views as we ride to the top of Mount Taylor, or the beautiful landscape of the Zuni Mountains.

About
Our business established in 2022. We are no stranger to the Hunting industry. Our dad started teaching us at a young age and from there the spark was made and the fire was lit. We started guiding as soon as we were able to obtain our license. Started guiding on tribal land and then through another really great NM outfit, has taking us all over NM as well as Colorado and even into Arizona. We are no slouch to this industry. We have guided numerous 300 class bull elk, even breaking into that 400 class mark. Not to mention numerous 160- 180 class mule deer, numerous 80 inch antelope and a few big Barbary sheep along the way.
I also have a pack of extremely well trained lion and bear Hounds. That is my true passion, treeing multiple bears and lions year after year, this is my bread and butter.
We look forward to sharing our passion with you as well on your next adventure.
Some other people you might meet would be the rest of our family as well as close friends. We always like to keep our camps and Hunting adventures close with family as possible. That being said it is very possible to meet our wife's and kids in camp from time to time as well as our dad and other friends we might drag along to help out in camp and in the field to give you the best New Mexico Hunting experience you could have asked for.
